  • Do I need a state license?
    Yes, we only accept licensed counselors on our app to ensure that our users get the most professional advice. If you are not licensed, we can’t proceed to the next stage.
  • Do I need to exclusively work for Kounsel?
    With the Kounsel app, you can choose and manage your schedule. This means that you can still manage your other commitments as you offer your services on the Kounsel app.
  • Can I join Kounsel if I am not from the USA?
    Currently, we are recruiting counselors exclusively from the USA but will expand to other countries in due time.
  • How many clients will I get daily?
    In Kounsel, clients choose the counselors by themselves by using the different search filters such as location, keywords or counselor ratings. We also support counselors' exposure through diverse marketing initiatives to attract and get clients.
  • Is there an average rate that I should set on my profile?
    When creating your profile, you will set your rate depending on what you charge in your private practice. This depends entirely on you, and you will decide what to charge per minute.
  • How do I choose the right subscription plan for me?
    Consider your career stage, support needs, and growth goals. Our subscription page provides a comparison of both plans to help you decide which one best fits your requirements.
  • What subscription plans are available?
    We offer two subscription plans that are tailored to the needs of both emerging and established counselors. Detailed information about each plan can be found on our subscription page.
  • How can I upgrade or downgrade my subscription?
    Log in to your account, go to "Account Settings," and click on "Subscription." From there, you can choose to upgrade or downgrade your plan.
  • How do I update my payment method?
    Log in to your account, navigate to "Account Settings," click on "Subscription," and update your payment details under the payment method section.
  • What happens if I cancel my subscription?
    Cancelling your subscription will result in your Kounsel profile being inactive, as you are initially assigned a default subscription when you join the platform.
  • When will I be billed for my subscription?
    For monthly subscriptions, you will be billed on the same date each month as your subscription start date. For annual subscriptions, you will be billed annually on the anniversary of your subscription start date.
  • Can I get a refund if I cancel my subscription?
    If you cancel your subscription and there is more than one day until your renewal date (if paying monthly), you will receive a prorated refund based on the remaining time in your billing cycle. Exceptions may apply in certain circumstances.
  • What payment methods are accepted?
    We accept debit cards, credit cards, and PayPal.
  • Can I collaborate on articles or social media posts to boost my profile visibility?
    Yes, we offer opportunities for counselors to collaborate on articles and social media posts to enhance their profile visibility.
  • How do I access the features included in my subscription?
    After subscribing, log in to your account and access your personalized dashboard where all features are applicable to your subscription will be available.
  • What features are included in each subscription plan?
    Each plan offers different features, such as marketing tools, client management software, mentorship programs, and more. Detailed features for each plan are listed on our subscription page.
  • How can I contact customer support?

  • What should I do if I encounter payment issues?
    First, verify your payment information and ensure your card has sufficient funds and is not expired. If issues persist, contact your bank or try an alternate payment method. For further assistance, contact our support team.
  • Is there a trial period available?
    Check our subscription page for any available trial periods or special offers for new users.
  • How do I join the mentorship program?
    The mentorship program is included in a specific subscription plan. Once you subscribe to an eligible plan, you will receive instructions on how to join the program.
  • Can I switch back to the default subscription if I upgrade or downgrade?
    Yes, you can switch back to the default subscription by downgrading your current plan through your subscription settings.
